What do we offer?

Solar Energy

In recent years, the Philippines has increasingly turned to solar energy to diversify its energy supply and make it more sustainable. With a high level of solar radiation and a large number of islands, the country offers ideal conditions for the use of solar energy. Large-scale projects such as the 63 MWp Gigasol project and the government’s ambitious targets to reach 5 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2025 demonstrate the country’s commitment to a greener future. In addition, the Philippine government is promoting solar energy due to its lower environmental impact and as part of its plan to install 15 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

Wind Energy

Wind energy is becoming increasingly important in the Philippines. With an installed capacity of 443 MW in 2020, which corresponds to around 1.6% of the country’s total installed capacity, wind energy has developed steadily since 2012. The Philippine government aims to achieve a 35% share of renewable energy in the electricity mix by 2030 and plans to increase wind energy capacity to 5 GW. Despite some challenges, such as delays in the importation of wind turbines, the Philippines’ roadmap for offshore wind energy shows a technical potential of 178 GW, opening the door for a leading role in the development of wind energy in Asia.

Other renewable energy projects

Pyrolyse, or pyrolysis, is a thermochemical decomposition of organic material at elevated temperatures in the absence of oxygen. In the Philippines, this process is being explored for its potential to generate hydrogen, a clean energy source. The country has opened auctions for natural hydrogen exploration rights, highlighting areas with hydrogen gas seeps, particularly in regions with serpentinised ultramafic rocks. Moreover, pyrolysis is also being utilized to address waste management issues, converting plastic waste into fuel. This innovative approach not only provides a sustainable energy source but also helps in reducing environmental pollution.

Efficient energy for everyone

Efficient energy is not just a technical term; it’s a commitment to a sustainable future. The concept revolves around using less energy to achieve the same output, thereby reducing utility bills and greenhouse gas emissions. This approach is crucial in combating climate change and promoting a healthier planet. By investing in renewable energy and improving energy efficiency, we can make energy systems more inclusive and accessible, ensuring that the benefits of energy advancements reach everyone. Moreover, energy efficiency is a pathway to a more equitable world, where sustainable and clean energy is a reality for all.
