Demo Mission For 2025 WEB3 Hackathon in NZ.
Abstract
This project objectives to decrease the CO2 emission in New Zealand by incorporating web3 know-how.
description
New Zealand is committed to reaching rep-zero carbon emissions by 2050, but its contemporary Emissions Trading Blueprint (ETS) faces serious challenges—lack of transparency, excessive participation charges, and risks of fraud or double-counting. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) most frequently fight to have interaction as a result of kinds and inefficiencies.
Our project objectives to make a blockchain-powered carbon credit rating trading system that enhances transparency, accessibility, and trust across the carbon market. By leveraging perfect contracts and tokenization, we construct a tamper-proof, immutable registry of carbon credits. Credit are uniquely identified on-chain, stopping duplication or manipulation.
The system entails a P2P trading platform the set up corporations and folks must aquire or sell carbon credits straight away, without intermediaries, lowering charges and enforcing compliance automatically. Additional, we integrate IoT sensors for valid-time emissions tracking from farms, factories, and transport programs. This knowledge is recorded securely on the blockchain, enhancing accountability and dimension accuracy.
This decentralized potential not most attention-grabbing reduces administrative overhead but additionally empowers local inexperienced initiatives, similar to reforestation or renewable vitality adoption, by enabling their participation within the carbon market.
By aligning with New Zealand’s environmental targets and regulatory frameworks, our resolution has the aptitude to lead global innovation in local climate tech, whereas supporting each and each sustainability and economic increase.
